Zanzibar 2015

Zanzibar…..the island, whose sightseing we combined with a trip to Tanzania was a lovely place to rest after a long safari trip 😉 ….especially as it is much more friendly “to travel” than Tanzania Mainland. There are so many tourist attractions that you can see during two weeks that you will not feel bored. Everything you need, of course, you can buy from local retailers and agents but we organized our trips themselves. What we saw?……Look at the photos please.

We sailed to Zanzibar by fishing boat from one of the small villages near Pangani, which in addition to a shelter run by nuns does not offer absolutely nothing. Well, unless someone wants to hide in a local village where watches stoping in place 😉 . Boat trip tooks several hours but considering the alternative in the form of land routes to Dar es Salaam and then the ferry to island we saved one day of our trip…perfectly 🙂 . At this point, thanks to Mike, which proved to be particularly helpful….but the fish we didn’t manage to catch 🙁 .

Zanzibar was so nice and peaceful place, that the average tourist falls into a big laziness ;). It’s hard to resist the urge to long hours of the sea water outflow viewing……few hours later coming back to shore – these ebbs and flows are so cool 😉 . We also caught up with the mood of “life’s slowdown” and instead explore further beaches most of the time we spent on walking on the beach and lazing around the sofa 🙂

Anyway we managed to see a little bit: endemic, funny and playful Red Colobus monkeys, dolphins, giant turtles and…only one thing…..I regret that I didn’t do a kite surfing course…..maybe next time 😉
